About Yishai
Yishai is the fourth son of Naomi and Zalman Gaster (the late founders of Kibbutz Amiad in the Upper Galilee. His childhood and adulthood were in Kibbutz Amiad in the Upper Galilee.
After military service, he studied theater at the Kibbutzim Seminar and was involved in the field for several years, as an actor, director and playwright.
In 1986, he moved to Britain and continued as an amateur in theater while working in various fields.
In 1989, he was invited to a theatrical project in Tokyo, where he stayed for about a year.
He then returned to Britain and joined the Columbia Marketing book company, where he was appointed CEO and served in this position for about ten years.
At the same time, in 1992, he left the theater field and began studying psychotherapy at the Chiron Center for Physical Psychotherapy Studies in London, upon completion of which he was accepted as a full member of the UKCP, the British Council for Psychotherapy.
In parallel with managing the company, Yishai worked in an individual clinic and led therapeutic groups for seven years.
In 1996, Brett Hellinger came to London to present his work with the family constellation. The impression was very deep and he immediately began to study the method in depth and apply it in the individual clinic, in group facilitation and in workshops. Yishai also studied the family constellation with Dr. Albrecht Maher, and the organizational constellation with Jan Jakob Stam.
In 1998, he married Ruthie Seglis, a choreographer by profession, and started a family with her. Yishai and Ruthie have three sons – Alon, Amir and Uri.
In 2005, after about 19 years abroad, he returned with his family to Israel and settled in Rosh Pina, close to the landscapes of his childhood. In 2006, he founded the School for Systemic Constellation Studies in Israel.
Between 2016 and 2019, he lived with his family in Sunnyvale, California, continuing to develop the constellation work in the US in parallel with its development in Israel, and in the summer of 2019, he returned to Israel and currently lives in Kibbutz Lehavot Bashan in the Galilee.
Since then, every year professionals from various fields have graduated from the courses in family constellation and organizational constellation.
In addition to private and organizational consulting and training, Yishai has also conducted training courses in systemic constellation at the MDA and the Educational Psychological Service, and has facilitated and conducted workshops and trainings in the UK, Spain, Switzerland and the USA.
Constellation processes and trainings can be held with Yishai via Skype/Zoom or in personal meetings in Pardes Hanna.
Yishai facilitates and teaches at the School for Systemic Constellation Studies in Israel, and most importantly continues to enjoy and be surprised again and again – from working with the constellation.
